Working on hundreds of TV shows over the years I’ve collaborated with a diverse string of characters. Ant has to be one of the most memorable, his ability to bring light and enthusiasm to any occasion be it professional or personal is up there with the best. He has an incredibly creative head on his shoulders, always looking for quirky, innovative ways to bring something new to the table. Legend to work with – we look forward to producing another show with Ant at the helm in the future!
Grant Nisbett is my name and I’ve been involved in sports broadcasting for 50+ years and have met a wide variety of characters, some good, some bad, and some less than memorable, in my time. Into the good category fits Ant Niterl , whom I worked with for some time at the TAB. Very few people have the creative thoughts and brilliant, inventive ideas that Ant has. Our highly successful and acclaimed Radio/podcast HEAD HEART and BALLS was totally his idea and his baby. Weekly he pulled together myself and Mark Stafford plus some outstanding guests, including All Black captain Sam Cane, amongst others, to produce an amusing and insightful hour on Trackside radio. Ant thinks outside the square and that’s his real strength – producing some zany product that nobody has previously even considered. He has great relationships with key stakeholders in a number of areas with sport and racing too that readily spring to mind. He has built relationships to a point, in these industries, that they trust him to provide the content which best reflects their characters and contributions to a huge part of New Zealand life. Ant is a very competent television producer/ director and I was thrilled several years ago when he produced a short documentary on myself and the life and times of a rugby commentator. He was able to find the perfect balance between entertainment and information and I couldn’t have thought of a better guy to portray those sentiments. Ant is a funny man with a serious side to him – he’s hard working and loyal and I highly recommend him to you.
You won’t find many MCs/presenters that can perform quite like Ant. He has a very rare ability to push the boundaries just enough to keep the crowd laughing and engaged whilst never stepping over the line. He’s been a key component of our match delivery and the fact that positive feedback pops up regularly towards him in our post-match surveys shows that he’s helping create a truly memorable experience for our fans. Ant is hugely skilled in thinking on the fly, being able to interview all demographics naturally with confidence and people just seem to enjoy being interviewed by him. He’s always punctual, professional and quickly built rapport with our whole crew and team. His creativity has also been invaluable for our social media performance and he’s always happy to go the extra mile when drumming up content from conception to completion. I can’t recommend Ant enough.
The man, the myth, the legend. Ant is well-known in the media circles for a loud personality and an outrageous bellowing laugh. Working with Ant over the past 5-years on a range of clients, Ant has proven to have an extremely creative mind and isn’t afraid to kickstart the creative process. He is an invaluable member of a collaborative brainstorm and has a talented mind for visualising a concept. Ant has also worked on set with our team in a producing role. He has an uncanny knack of building relationships and is key to making the talent feel comfortable on a shoot. Whether building creative territories for a world sporting organisation or performing on camera for top New Zealand eatery, Ant brings energy and enthusiasm to any role and is a valuable contributor for agency or client.
I’ve worked with Ant on a few different things over the years, I’ve always been impressed with his versatility. From interviewing us rugby players post match to down on my Dad’s farm chatting about tractors – he can bullshit with the very best of them! The thing I enjoy about working or creating content with Ant is that he makes you feel like you’re just there having fun, his great people skills allows me and everyone else to relax – as a result the content comes across natural and genuine. (Most of the time!) He’s a lot more creative than I’ve ever given him credit for too, it wasn’t until we did a full days filming for CASE IH that I appreciated the thoughts and ideas that we was able to piece together to produce some awesome shoots.
Ant is a very funny, creative, and intelligent fella with a heart of gold. I’ve always admired Ant’s ability to thrive in different environments. Whether he’s on a film shoot or in a corporate board room, he has a unique ability to add value to whatever situation he’s in. Ant has a huge future in the NZ entertainment industry due to his versatility. He can write, produce, present and pitch ideas that NZ audiences crave. Ant’s storytelling ability is up there with the very best and he’s going to enjoy a long and successful career because of it.
We have worked for Anthony for over 6 years on Rhythm and Vines. He has worn various hats over this time as a Brand Ambassador, MC and Content Creator. Anthony is highly creative, extremely passionate and always going an extra mile with a positive can-do attitude. He is a motivated and fun – loving team player, we look forward to working with Anthony on future projects.
The melodious timbre of Ant Niterl’s voiceover work conjures up the ghosts of great New Zealanders past, eliciting a nostalgia for a simpler time, when pints were pulled and punches weren’t. His rough-sawn delivery reeks of Sunday morning rugby club cleanups and a freshly mown summer lawn. It’s a voice that evokes the very essence of New Zealand masculinity, which is pretty impressive for a Jaapie.
From painted ladies to painting the town red and painting a picture for viewers…Ant threw himself into NZ Cup weeks with boots, whip’s and even the kitchen sink! As a producer of Trackside’s Carnival Coverage it’s always a balancing act ensuring we cater for our hard core punters and those known as “fringe punters” who are all about the fun, the fashion and the frivolity that is the foundation of any successful Cup Week. Handing the “colour” mic to Ant means living by the seat of your pants! Like a Masterchef worthy caramel, Ant pushes everything to the edge! He’ll paint the ladies (and the men), he’ll sing, eat and dance his way into the hearts and minds of viewers. With Ant you get 110% at 110 miles an hour! So strap yourself in – Ant will take your brand and he won’t just sell it, he’ll own it!
